A Final Note from Heather :

Heather Boyd, Occupational Therapist and Sleep Expert

I have HUGE empathy for any tired parent with a sleepless (or sleep-not-enough-ist) baby.  I've been there and it is HARD.

My first baby had a really hard time with sleep.  Although I understood attachment as an Occupational Therapist working with babies, I had no idea there were ways to support sleep without sleep training.

When, in the newborn period, I discovered there were more nurturing ways to support sleep, I wasn't sure what to do when I hit huge challenges --and sleep still felt exhausting, and mind-numbingly hard.

Although we were supporting sleep in a nurturing way, we weren't resolving underlying health issues that were getting in the way.  And we had no one to guide us in solving those issues.

Our journey to support our son's sleep has led to my passion in helping families SOLVE underlying sleep issues, while also SUPPORTING a secure attachment.

It's why I am so determined to help families find what obstacles might be getting in the way AND support attachment through nurturing, responsive parenting.

It does not have to be one or the other.  We can solve AND we can support.  I'd love to help you do that.

Big hugs,
Heather
